Thomas H. Rousse is currently a Law & Science Fellow at Northwestern University's School of Communication and Pritzker School of Law, where he is pursuing a joint JD/PhD. degree.

He conducts research at the intersection of law and technology, with a focus on how legal and sociotechnical systems structure online communities.

He has a diverse methodological and theoretical background spanning American Studies, social network analysis, qualitative sociology, science & technology studies, intellectual property, video game design and constitutional law. He has also collaborated with judges and lawyers, technologists, social scientists, and humanists on academic articles, courses, conference presentations, research projects, art exhibits and opinions.
